Additional charges filed against a Vermont man accused of shooting and killing a New Hampshire couple on a hiking trail last year claim the man attempted to destroy evidence that would have connected him to the couple's killing. In January, a New Hampshire grand jury indicted Logan Lever Clegg, a 26-year-old Vermont man, on several charges in connection with the slayings of Stephen and Djeswende Reid on April 18, 2022, according to a New Hampshire Department of Justice spokesperson. Clegg pleaded not guilty to the charges.
